Hello and welcome to Detangling Dyslexia. First and foremost, I’m a mother of a dyslexic child, which prompted this career path. I am aware of the struggles that occur at home, as well as the benefits of intervention. I am passionate about empowering learners with dyslexia of all ages to reach their full potential. 

As a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT), Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist (SLDS), and Barton Advanced Certified Instructor, I’m trained in several research-backed approaches proven to help students with dyslexia thrive. My experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) provides me with a deeper understanding of language development and communication needs, thereby enriching the therapy that is provided.

More recently, I’ve served as the past president of the International Dyslexia Association - Alaska Branch and as a member of the Early Childhood Advisory Board at the University of Alaska - Anchorage, School of Education. I look forward to becoming part of the Treasure Valley community.
